Overview

GGPoker is the largest poker room operating in Ontario's regulated market. Operated by NSUS Limited under an iGaming Ontario licence, it holds roughly 52% of Ontario's online poker traffic - the clearest measure of its dominance. The room launched in Ontario in April 2022 when the province opened its stand-alone regulated market, and has consistently topped our rankings since.

What sets GGPoker apart isn't just volume. The software stack is the most feature-rich available to Ontario players: a built-in Smart HUD, PokerCraft analytics suite, and game formats unavailable elsewhere in the province. For tournament players in particular, no other Ontario room comes close on schedule depth or guaranteed prize pools.

The current operator offer is available on the GGPoker Ontario site. Under AGCO rules, specific amounts cannot be published here, but visit GGPoker Ontario for current details. No promo code is required at registration.

Software and Features

GGPoker's client runs on desktop (Windows, Mac) and mobile (iOS, Android). The interface is polished and loads quickly. A few features worth knowing:

Smart HUD

Third-party HUDs are banned across all Ontario rooms under iGaming Ontario's fair-play standards. GGPoker replaces them with Smart HUD, a built-in display showing key opponent stats - voluntarily put in pot percentage, aggression frequency, and call rates - sourced from hands played at the current session. It's less granular than a full multi-table HUD but works within the rules and gives you more information than any other Ontario room provides natively.

PokerCraft Analytics

PokerCraft is GGPoker's hand history and analysis tool. After each session you can review hand replays, filter by street, and see net profit charts broken down by position. It's integrated directly into the client rather than requiring a separate export. Serious players use it as a lightweight substitute for third-party tracking software.

Rush and Cash

Rush and Cash is GGPoker's fast-fold cash game format. When you fold a hand, you're immediately moved to a new table with a new hand dealt. This eliminates the wait between hands and lets you accumulate many more hands per hour than a regular cash game. Stakes range from micro to mid-level, making it accessible for most bankrolls.

Spin and Gold

Spin and Gold is a three-player jackpot sit-and-go. A random multiplier is drawn before each game that determines the prize pool. Most games are at low multipliers, but larger draws are possible. These are fast, self-contained games with no late registration and no complex ICM decisions, which suits players who want a defined session length.

Table Features

GGPoker's tables offer rabbit hunting (seeing what would have come on the next street), a time bank that can be conserved across hands, and an all-in equity display that shows your percentage chance of winning after all chips are in the middle. These are quality-of-life features that have become standard on the platform.

Tournaments: BHS Ontario, WSOP Circuit, and Ontario MILLION$

GGPoker runs the most substantial tournament schedule of any Ontario room, with three major recurring series alongside a deep daily and weekly MTT schedule.

Bounty Hunters Series (BHS) Ontario

The Bounty Hunters Series Ontario is a progressive knockout tournament series that runs seasonally on GGPoker Ontario. Each player carries a bounty on their head worth a portion of their buy-in. When you eliminate someone, you win their bounty immediately in cash, and your own bounty grows. This PKO format changes the strategic calculus compared to standard MTTs - chip equity and bounty equity have to be balanced. The series spans multiple buy-in levels, from micro-stakes entries to higher guaranteed events.

WSOP Super Circuit Ontario

GGPoker Ontario is the exclusive host of WSOP Super Circuit Ontario events. These are ring events carrying the WSOP Circuit brand and awarding coveted WSOP Circuit rings to winners. The series typically runs once or twice a year with a schedule covering multiple buy-ins and variants. Ontario players can compete for WSOP Circuit hardware without leaving the province.

GGPoker also runs WSOP Ontario satellites throughout the year, giving players a structured path to qualify for larger WSOP events at reduced cost.

Ontario MILLION$

The Ontario MILLION$ is a monthly guaranteed tournament exclusive to players physically located in Ontario. It runs on GGPoker Ontario with a large guaranteed prize pool. Satellites and steps are available most weeks to qualify at lower buy-ins. The tournament runs as a standard progressive knockout event, combining the appeal of a large guarantee with the bounty format. Check the GGPoker Ontario lobby for current schedules and guarantee figures.

microFestival

microFestival is a recurring series aimed at micro-stakes players. Buy-ins are intentionally low, making this a good entry point for newer players who want series-style tournament poker without a large bankroll commitment. Events mirror the structure of larger GGPoker series but at accessible price points.

Cash Games

GGPoker runs the busiest cash game tables in Ontario. Texas Hold'em is the primary game, with tables spread from NL2 through to higher stakes. Pot-limit Omaha (PLO) is also available with reasonable traffic at mid-stakes. Short Deck (6+ Hold'em) tables run at certain stakes, though traffic can be thinner outside peak hours.

The Rush and Cash format is available at most Hold'em stakes and represents a significant proportion of overall cash game volume. Regular ring tables see solid traffic at NL5 through NL50, with traffic thinning above NL100 during off-peak hours. Weekend evenings consistently show the deepest table selection.

Rake at GGPoker Ontario follows a standard schedule, generally 5% up to a cap that varies by stake. Use our rake calculator to estimate your rake contribution at your preferred stake level.

Traffic and Player Pool

GGPoker holds approximately 52% of Ontario's regulated online poker traffic, making it the dominant room by a significant margin. Ontario operates a ring-fenced market - players must be physically located in Ontario to play - so GGPoker Ontario's player pool does not share liquidity with GGPoker's global network.

Despite the ring-fence, the Ontario player pool is large enough to support a full cash game and tournament schedule. Table selection at common stakes is rarely a problem during standard hours. For a detailed breakdown of traffic by room, see our Ontario poker traffic index.

The combination of traffic dominance and the broadest tournament schedule in the market is what drives GGPoker's position at the top of our rankings. Players who want the most game selection at any given time will almost always find more options here than anywhere else.
