TORONTO - GGPoker Ontario has scheduled its 2026 WSOP Online Ontario bracelet series for September 13 through October 5, listing eight events on the client with an aggregate CA$2,950,000 in advertised guarantees. The series is headlined by the CA$1,000 buy-in WSOP Ontario Main Event on Monday October 5, carrying a CA$1,000,000 guarantee. That first-place headline is the largest guarantee ever attached to an Ontario-only online poker tournament and doubles the CA$500,000 guarantee GGPoker Ontario placed behind its 2025 WSOP Online Ontario Main Event. Pokerfuse framed the series as "later than usual" in its editorial calendar - the 2025 WSOP Online Ontario ran August to September - but the delayed timing means the calendar sits directly opposite PokerStars on FanDuel Ontario's September Dynasty Series, which fires September 12 through September 28.
The overlap gives Ontario multi-table tournament players a two-front online calendar for the closing two weeks of September and into early October. Where the Dynasty Series is a No-Limit Hold'em-only calendar with 61 events and buy-ins from CA$30 to CA$1,500, the WSOP Online Ontario schedule is more compact - eight bracelet events on a single-day-per-event structure with CA$300 to CA$1,500 buy-ins - but carries the province's largest online guarantee and, unlike the Dynasty Series, awards official WSOP bracelets rather than in-house series titles.

Comparison to 2025 and to the Dynasty Series
The 2025 WSOP Online Ontario carried eight bracelet events with a CA$500,000 Main Event guarantee and roughly CA$2.2-million aggregate, per contemporaneous Poker.org and Pokerfuse coverage. The 2026 series holds the event count constant, doubles the Main Event guarantee, and lifts the aggregate to CA$2.95-million. The pattern reflects the growing weight the operator places on the Ontario-only calendar year on year - Ontario's peer-to-peer poker gross gaming revenue reached CA$56.6-million in the year to March 2026 per iGaming Ontario, roughly one-quarter of the combined New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania figure that anchors the operator's US business.

Why the C$1M Main Event Guarantee Matters
The CA$1-million Main Event guarantee is materially above the Ontario ceiling on a per-event basis. Ontario's largest weekly online guarantees historically come from GGPoker Ontario's Sunday MILLION$ Ontario (typical CA$100,000 guarantee) and BetMGM Poker Ontario's Sunday Guaranteed (CA$30,000). GGPoker Ontario has previously run tent-pole events between CA$300,000 and CA$500,000 for its major series. The CA$1-million WSOP Online Ontario Main Event ceiling is a per-event doubling for the client and is the largest number a single Ontario-only online tournament has carried since the market opened in April 2022.
Whether the field actually clears the guarantee will depend on the CA$1,000 buy-in's traction inside a fenced provincial pool. Comparable Ontario-only Sunday events at higher buy-ins (CA$1,500 to CA$2,000) typically clear roughly CA$150,000 to CA$400,000 in prize pool from 100-to-250-player fields. At the CA$1,000 buy-in level, GGPoker Ontario has previously run Sunday events clearing CA$100,000 to CA$200,000. To clear the CA$1-million guarantee at CA$1,000 buy-in with a standard 90 per cent net prize pool retention, the operator needs roughly 1,110 unique buy-ins into the Main Event flights. With a "Day 2" listing on the schedule implying that Sunday satellite and Day 1 flights feed into the October 5 Day 2, the total unique-entrant number is materially larger than any single flight.
Cross-Provincial and Regulatory Context
The WSOP Online Ontario series continues to operate as an Ontario-only, fenced-pool bracelet track under the iGaming Ontario framework. All participants must be 19 or older and physically located in Ontario. The Ontario ring-fence remains in place pending the Supreme Court of Canada's disposition of the Attorney-General of Ontario reference on interprovincial and international shared liquidity, currently scheduled for a Supreme Court hearing on October 7, 2026 - two days after the WSOP Online Ontario Main Event final table. A ruling in favour of Ontario, if issued in short order, could theoretically expand the addressable player pool for the 2027 series to include qualifying international jurisdictions. That is speculative and not part of the 2026 series structure; the WSOP Online Ontario 2026 Main Event will play entirely on Ontario-only liquidity.
Live-Online Bookend Week
The WSOP Online Ontario series opens September 13, one day after the WSOP Super Circuit Canada live festival at Playground closes on September 12. The live festival's aggregate through the first seven ring events plus the CA$13.08-million Main Event now stands at approximately CA$18.86 million per Playground and WSOP tracking - see our Main Event coverage from earlier today. Adding WSOP Online Ontario's CA$2.95-million to the aggregate takes the WSOP-branded prize-money footprint in and around Ontario in September and early October alone to approximately CA$21.8-million. This is a step-change year for the Ontario poker calendar; the platform expects it, and the operator is pricing that expectation into its guarantee ladder.
