Ontario Poker Events: April to Summer 2026

April is a busy month for Ontario online poker, with GGPoker's Bounty Hunters Series running now through April 27. Beyond the current series, the next five months are packed: WSOP Circuit at Playground in May, Casino Niagara's Spring Main Event in May, and the headline event of the Canadian calendar, the first-ever WSOP Super Circuit in August with a $10,000,000 CAD guaranteed prize pool.

Whether you play online from home or make the trip to a live room, there is something on every month through September. Here is what to know.

GGPoker Bounty Hunters Series (April 5–27)

GGPoker is currently running its Bounty Hunters Series through April 27, 2026. The global event carries an $80M GTD prize pool, and Ontario players have access to an Ontario-specific $2M GTD version of the series running in parallel.

Key events for Ontario players during the series:

• Ontario MILLION$ Bounty Edition, $100K GTD: Final Stage runs April 12 and April 19 at 8:30pm ET. Buy-in: $50.
• Mystery Bounty Main Event, $250K GTD: Final Stage April 27 at 6:30pm ET. Buy-in: $105.
• Daily $105 Bounty King: $25K GTD events run every day through April 27.
• $1M Daily Leaderboard: Top bounty hunters compete daily for leaderboard prizes across the series.

Casino Niagara Spring Main Event (May 19–22)

Casino Niagara in Niagara Falls, Ontario hosts its Spring Main Event from May 19 to 22, 2026. The tournament is a no-limit hold'em event with multiple starting flights and unlimited re-buys during those flights.

The schedule:

• Flight A: May 19, starting 12:30pm
• Flight B: May 20, starting 12:30pm
• Day 2: May 21
• Day 3 (if needed): May 22

This is one of the premier Ontario live poker events of the year, kicking off ahead of the summer run. For players who want to play live in province without making a cross-border drive, the Casino Niagara Spring Main Event is the major spring option on the calendar.

WSOP Circuit at Playground: May 10–25

Following the April Circuit series at Playground, which generated a record $4,042,870 CAD prize pool and became the second-largest in WSOP Circuit history, the next Playground WSOP Circuit runs May 10–25, 2026. We covered that April result in detail in our Playground record prize pool article.

The full tournament schedule for the May series is to be announced by WSOP.com. Players looking to qualify online can do so exclusively through GGPoker, which is the only Ontario-regulated platform offering WSOP Circuit satellites.

Playground Poker Club is located in Kahnawake, Quebec, roughly 500km from Toronto and about a five-hour drive. The venue has drawn consistently large fields from Ontario, with players representing the province at the final table across multiple recent Circuit events.

WSOP Super Circuit Canada: August 24–September 9

The biggest event on the Canadian poker calendar in 2026 is the first-ever WSOP Super Circuit at Playground Poker Club, Kahnawake, QC. The centerpiece is a $5,000 CAD buy-in Main Event with a $10,000,000 CAD guaranteed prize pool.

Playground's Assistant Director of Poker Operations, Andrew Johnson, put it directly: "It's going to be the biggest tournament Canada has ever seen." That quote was made after the April Circuit result, which itself set a 2026 record. The Super Circuit is designed to go well beyond that.

Online qualifiers for the Super Circuit will be available exclusively on GGPoker, with details to be announced. This is the same path Jacob Hobday used to enter the August 2025 Circuit event, where he parlayed a $75 satellite entry into a $620,000 CAD payday. Pickering Casino (Great Canadian): Weekly Tournaments

For Ontario players who want live poker close to home on a regular basis, the Great Canadian at Pickering Casino Resort runs weekly tournaments throughout the year. The April schedule includes:

• April 7: $200 Turbo (two events)
• April 9: $575 Bounty
• April 16: $575 NLH
